I would like to know how i go about seeing how i can find out what city or town my ancestors came from, i know they where in Germany and Italy….
But i want to see where they grew up…

I am looking for ancestors and my sister
All I know about my grandfather is that his last name is Ho (何) and in the 1940’s he was a Chinese citizen. Around the time of WW2 his family left China and migrated to Hong Kong while he stayed behind. No one in my family has heard of him since.
How do I track down this man? Where do I start to research? Can I find more records about this
Almost all records in the GPO got destroyed during the rising and my ancestry goes back 100 years in Ireland. By the way the census we have now only goes back 90 years. If I am to use a website to find out PLEASE for the love of God give me as much detail as you can on how to use it.
I already have dates and names but need to find out how I can actually prove… getting death certificates, birth certificates, finding out if my info I have already is accurate like places they were born and died. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
I’m a third generation Canadian and my grandparents came from Italy. I want to go all the way back into history but that involves going into Italian ancestry and none of the sites I know for family trees have records in Italy!

Are couples less likely to choose an egg donor who is part Italian? This seems ridiculous to me.
