I know about my Mom’s side of the family, but I know nothing about my Dad’s. I want to know because I’ve been told a lot recently that I look Polish or Eastern European, which I find odd because I have no known ancestors from there. The furthest East I know of is Germany.
So I’m curious on how I would find a little more information out.
I’ve been able to trace my ancestry back to Scotland and Wales in 1756 (a man from Wales married a lady from Scotland), but I’m unsure how to proceed farther back. I’d prefer not to have to pay a website fee. Any suggestions?
