My family goes back to 1580 in Germany so far but my favorite would have to be my great great grandfather and his family from 1830-1905 in Missouri.

I see a lot of websites with ancestor searching but I don’t even know who to search. I am looking for a site that can find my ancestors through records. Free would also be nice
I have very few names to go on. I dont have much in the way of bibles ect. I need to figure out where to startto find my family line. i have been told general william sherman is my ancestor, however i do not even know where to begin to find tth line out! please hlp!
