I have all my information on my Ancestry.com account but I don’t want to use that, is there like a website where I can put all the information together and add pictures and stuff?
I was thinking about starting an at-home genealogy business just for the summer at least to earn some money. How much should I charge? I was thinking between and per customer. That should cover time spent, Ancestry.com, gas, copies of records, etc, I think. Or should I charge extra for copies, print outs, and gas?
I used to belong to Ancestry.com and Genealogy.com and I know I had some of my family on the World Family Tree–but this was about 13 years ago. I’m looking to get back into it–am VERY interested in that tree that used to be there. (Oddly my own name does NOT come up on what is the "World Family Tree" online right now.) What is the best way to get back into this that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg? Thanks!
I already know about ancestry.com, thats not what I’m looking for, they charge a lot of money to do research.
I really want to find out my family tree, but i don’t want to have to pay 30 bucks a month for it, and i tried ancestry.com, the 14 day free trial, but whenever i typed in anything, it would ask for billing information, but i was afraid to enter it, in case of the slight possibility of it being a scam (i hate putting my credit card number online) so any help would be great, THANKS!!!

Besides using the pay websites like Ancestry.Com, what ways do you trace your ethnic ancestry?
1) By using your family names
2) any other suggestions?
And what are the most reliable ways/sources?
I want to be able to produce a family tree that has not only me and my parents, but me, my siblings, my parents, their siblings and I want to be able to print it. I have tried ancestry.com, but they only print out a family tree that shows only me, then my parents, then their parents and so and so forth.
