I just recently wanted to start doing a family tree to see who was in my family and the history of my family. Where do I even start? I can’t use ancestry.com because you have to pay and I don’t have any money to do that. Where’s a free website where I could find that kind of stuff? Give me some ideas/tips please. Thanks.
Do I have to put down all of my family’s brothers and sisters too? including their kids too?
Okay I’ve tried to make one on ancestry.com,onegreatfamily.com,legacy.com,and another website. (Don’t worry I canceled all of the trial’s to make sure I wont pay).But which one i the best one you’ve took and what website should I try?Caue none of them give me the result’s I expect for.

I’ve seen the Commercial for the website Ancestry.com on tv. I went to check it out, and there’s a fee to use the site. I was wondering if anyone knows of a website like that that is FREE? I don’t mean, free as in, it has a free trial feature. I mean you don’t have to ever pay to use it. I also don’t want to have to download anything.
I want to know who has the largest family tree on Ancestry.com, whose it is and where I can see it. How many family trees does that person have, or if it’s not the same person who is it? I want to see the largest family tree on Ancestry, to see if I could find a link to mine.

I’m making an online family tree on Ancestry.com. As I’m getting farther down my family’s lineage, I’m beginning to notice names with a De or de in them such as William de Craunacre. When making that persons individual profile, it asks you for their first and last names. I don’t know how I should be putting this de in the name. Should I just completely leave it out? I know de means of. Thanks in advance.
the only problem is that i only know both my parents names, date of birth, and birthplace and marriage stuff like that. i don’t know all the information on my grandparents. is there a free website where i could find my ancestors with this information?
