I’m a third generation Canadian and my grandparents came from Italy. I want to go all the way back into history but that involves going into Italian ancestry and none of the sites I know for family trees have records in Italy!
Does anyone know a site (free would be better) that can internationally trace family history and what would be the best way to start it?
Supposedly on my grandparents side there is Chinese, probably because of the Chinese immigration to Mexico along time ago, im trying to find more about it, and my grandparents dont really know.. can any one help me out?
I would love to make a family tree that includes everyone in my family, not just, child, mom dad, grandparents but all the children, aunts, uncles, cousins their marriages divorces etc. Does anyone know a template or some software that could help me with this?
Heres my situation:
So i need to make a family tree for a spanish project (basic testing knowledge on whether or not you know what a sobrino is, primo, abuelo, etc.) and i’m desperate for some sort of customizable template or a program that will help my do that. I don’t need something like ancestry.org or whatever, i just need to make a simple tree.
The specs that i NEED are as follows:
I need to be able to add -
Grandparents on both maternal and paternal sides
Maternal/paternal siblings
The sibling’s kids
My parents
My siblings

My paternal grandfather’s parents seem to have dropped in Texas out of nowhere, because I can’t find any record of their families, and my grandfather doesn’t have much information to share about them. I’d really like to get past my great-grandparents on my family tree, I just don’t know where to turn now.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I recently found out my great grandparents from my mom’s side were from the Canary Islands. I want to know if there is anyway i can find information about them thats not just by asking family. I tried asking my grandmother but she isnt very mentally stable and rarely remembers anything. So is there any way i can find anything another way??
Also we arent from the US we’re from Dominican Republic. I wasn’t born here and neither were my mother or grandparents. Which is why im having trouble finding any information.
for some reason my mind isn’t working for me right now lol. I am trying to make a family tree for my grandfather and I want it to start with him and my grandmother, not with me. When I ask how to do it, I mean when it comes to ages and the position of the person on the tree. Do I give the eldest child my grandparents had the shortest line, and the youngest a longer line?
I am trying to trace back from both my father and mother’s side, but I can only get information about my great-grandparents at best. How do I go about finding relatives? I know nothing what-so-ever about this
So, I am trying to make a family tree. My mother’s side is from Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. My father’s side is from Austria, Poland, Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. I am Jewish, and so is my whole family. I know who all of my great-grandparents are. I know who 9 of my great-great grandparents are. I also know who 4 of my great-great-great grandparents are. Where can I find more information?
